Day 5

We did errands today.  Stopped to purchase tickets to Epcot at the AAA(planning on going there on Tuesday).  Did some shopping at Beall's--got a new swimsuit and Larry picked up some shirts.  He also bought new golf shoes; perhaps they'll lower his golf score!

Today we drove north to Sarasota to visit the Ringling Circus Museum, a huge complex devoted entirely to the John Ringling Circus.  John and Mable's "winter home" was situated directly on the Gulf and is filled with the opulence of their day--tapestries, art, furniture, etc.  Ironic, though, he died with a mere $200.00 in his bank account.  Go figure!
It was very interesting to see the original circus wagons, costumes, etc.--so colorful!  We spent several hours viewing the exhibits;n probably we could have stayed an hour longer but were too tired from walking!  Martinis were calling!
