New Look

Over the weekend, we got a brand-new look going on...Larry lost his head of hair, not that he had much before chemo!  Lookin' good, though.  Our friends believe the "shaved-head" look is dashing and makes him look younger.  Personally, I love him no matter what hairstyle he sports!

Movin' Along

Larry's first chemo treatment came and went.  Of all the possible side-effects, he experienced general fatigue and extreme joint pain which lasted a few days.  We have good days for the most part; he does have a weekly blood test done.  Having a good attitude and staying in good spirits helps greatly.  Thanks for all who have showed concern for us.  Family and friend-support mean a great deal!

Once Again

Test results came in, and luckily the cancer didn't affect the major organs but instead stayed in the lymph node system.  Too bad you can't just take out the little buggers, huh?  The oncologist called with his new game plan.  On Monday Larry begins a new round of chemo starting with an all-day visit followed by two weeks off.  Then it repeats itself.  The treatments involve a new drug so we don't know what the side effects might be.  Here's hoping they aren't extreme.  One day at a time, right?
