Merry Christmas

It's Christmas Day!  For the first time in seven years we have a white Christmas!  The snowfall is less than an inch, but it still counts.  It adds a special quality to this enchanted time--what a wonderful surprise!

I just want to express to family and friends a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The "Season"

The "Rubs".  The "Rut".  The "13" Pointer.  Buzz words in Clinton County.

Around the country, it's the Holiday Season, but here at home we are in the annual Deer Hunting Season.  This is that time of the year where the male bonding begins.  The woods are their habitat and they're gun-toters for three weekends a year. Our husbands and sons are sitting in precarious positions in trees, holding their shotguns or bows, in search of that illusive big buck.  Suffering  cold temperatures, blustery winds, ice, snow....they sit for hours at a time hoping a mighty buck passes close enough to their deer stand to get off a shot.  And they do this over, and over, and over.  Go figure.  The guys love it!
